Project ContentOptimization of processes involving procedurally and energetically aspectsExpirationAn important groundwork for all following steps in this project was a process analysis, which was supposed to discover potentials for improvement within the plant. On this basis, we developed proposals and supported the implementation of different improvements. The final package of measures contained, among other things, the change to semi-automatic dewatering centrifuges and to thermal oil-based drying systems as well as the usage of water-saving technologies. ResultsThe implementation of the suggested measures lead to a reduction of water consumption by 30%. In addition, the measures had a positive influence on the energy consumption (-15%), the need of staff (-20%) and the product quality (+15%). The return on investment was 2.5 years. ImplementationThe results and suggestions of this project have been implemented in more than 20 plants since 1990. |
